Crosby RDA is a long standing charity (a member group of RDA the national body) which aims to provide fun and therapy for disabled adults and children through horse riding. We are run entirely by volunteers and have to fundraise entirely ourselves - we are not government funded. Animals are a great source of therapy because of the bonds that can be formed with them and riding is a great form of physical and mental exercise.
We have six different sessions a week, catering for all levels of ability. We try to give our riders as many oppertunities as possible and as well as taking part in competitions we also run an annual riding holiday at the Clwyd Special Riding Centre in Wales. We also try to offer riders a chance to take part in RDA proficiency tests which award certificates once they are completed.
If you are interested in getting involved with the group as a volunteer, a rider or just to help us raise funds then please take a look around the website and/or contact us.
We always need assistance meeting our £35,000 a year running costs. If you would like to help but haven't got time to attend a fundraising event then you could make a donation or adopt a Crosby RDA horse or pony.
The last fundraising event was the quiz night which raised just over £400. There has been a new event added on the 29th June, a band night (including Ceilidh band), at St Pter's and Pauls Parish Club. For more information about events view our fundraising section, contact us or ring Vicky on 07709629310.
You can help raise money for us whilst you use sites such as E-bay, Amazon, Tescos etc, book flights and holidays on the internet or pay for your mobile phone or gas bills online. This is through a site called easyfunding.org.uk. To find out more please visit our fundraising section...

4 lucky riders from the group have recently enjoyed the chance to go on a riding holiday in North Wales!
